Masks for the glazing and wheels of the North American F-86E/F Sabre (1:72) — die-cut self-adhesive Eduard painting masks for accurate spraying of the cockpit frames and the wheels of the jet fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of die-cut self-adhesive painting masks of the Eduard brand in 1:72 scale for a model of the F-86E/F Sabre jet fighter. It is neither a kit nor a model — they are precisely die-cut masks in thin masking tape which adhere to the cockpit glazing and to the landing gear wheels. They let you spray the frames of the canopy and the centers of the discs with a crisp edge, without laboriously cutting and applying ordinary tape.
The North American F-86 Sabre was an American jet fighter with a swept wing, one of the best-known aircraft of the early jet era. It made its name in the Korean War in duels with MiG-15 fighters and became a symbol of Western military aviation of the 1950s. The E and F versions were among the mature and most widespread variants.
Spray the shade of the cockpit frames first, and once it is dry lay the masks on the glazing and overspray with the color of the fuselage. The wheel masks hold the center of the disc while the tires are sprayed. The thin tape adapts to the curve of the canopy and leaves a clean edge. For the best adhesion, degrease the surface before applying them, rid it of dust and press the masks down with a soft tool, so that paint does not run under the edge.
This is a masking set. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
