An industrial subject is among the most rewarding grounds for a small scale. This piece carries the motif of a factory hall and offers a level area on which the silhouette of an aircraft, a vehicle and a group of figures will stand out. The space of the hall moreover gives a display a comparison of scale that an empty board will never provide.
It acts most strongly when the main model is placed at an angle to the line of the structure and part of the area stays free. An empty place is not a loss but space that lets the main object stand out. Small pieces of the crate, drum or tool kind suit the corners, suggesting activity.
