A resin detail set in 1:72 scale from the Quickboost company. It contains the fuel access service panel in the closed state, made for the early version of the Fairchild A-10 A/C Thunderbolt II ground-attack aircraft. The set replaces the corresponding place on the airframe and copies the shape of the closed cover exactly.
It is not a model of an aircraft but an accessory. The finely cast part gives the airframe the correct shape and the fine detail of the closed panel, which in injection-molded plastic tend to be simplified. Suitable for models shown in the ordinary flight configuration with the covers closed.
Wash the mold release agent off the part, cut it off the casting block and set it into the airframe, gluing it with super glue (cyanoacrylate) if needed. Sand the transitions down (protect your airways) and use a primer before painting.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
