Eduard 1:72 photo-etched landing gear set for the FG.1 Phantom fighter refines the landing gear and the landing gear bays with parts made of photo-etched sheet.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched set from Eduard in 1:72 scale focused on the landing gear and the landing gear bays of the British version of the Phantom FG.1 fighter. It is not a kit but an accessory made of thin brass sheet that adds the fine stiffeners, covers and landing gear linkages that plastic cannot capture at this scale.
The McDonnell Douglas Phantom FG.1 was the British naval version of the famous F-4 Phantom II multirole aircraft, operated by the Royal Navy and later by the Royal Air Force. It stood out with its British engines and with a number of modifications for operations from aircraft carriers.
Carefully snip the parts from the fret, form the precise bends on a photo-etch bending tool and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate) or epoxy. Degrease the metal before painting and treat it with a metal primer; add the small landing gear parts at the very end of the build so that they do not get bent.
This is an add-on photo-etched set, not a model. The kit itself and the paints are not included in the package.
