An accessory set from the SPACE range in 1:72 scale intended for the model of the Italian Fiat CR.32 biplane fighter. These are not ordinary wet decals, nor a photo-etched fret: the SPACE range is built on 3D decals, which have thickness and a raised relief, so that once applied the instruments and the small cockpit equipment look three-dimensional. The set replaces flat plastic details in places where anything made by hand is difficult in this scale.
The Fiat CR.32 was an Italian single-engine biplane fighter of the 1930s with a characteristic strut arrangement, the radiator layout of its liquid-cooled engine and fixed landing gear. It became known for its agility and was long one of the mainstays of the Regia Aeronautica fighter arm; it was committed to the Spanish Civil War and to the first years of the Second World War, and it also flew with further users. The open cockpit means that the interior is clearly visible on the finished model, and that is exactly why a detail set pays off on this type.
Work with the 3D decals only once the base coat of the interior is finished. Moisten only the backing paper, lift the part off with tweezers and seat it in PVA glue without pressure, so that the relief is not crushed. Do not use a decal softener or a setting solution, the chemicals attack the printed resin. Before you close the fuselage, check that the parts do not reach into the glued surfaces, otherwise a gap will appear in the seam.
