Responsibility details are not available.
A complete resin kit of the Italian Fiat G.50 Freccia fighter in the form of the machines of the Finnish Air Force. The Hungarian maker SBS Model gives its finely cast resin parts rich surface detail; the kit is intended for experienced modelers who have mastered working with resin.
The Fiat G.50 was the first Italian all-metal monoplane fighter with retractable landing gear, powered by the Fiat A.74 two-row radial engine. Finland bought several dozen of these machines at the turn of 1939 and 1940. Finnish pilots fought with them in the Winter War and the Continuation War and, despite the type's modest performance, achieved remarkable results with them - the G.50 earned a considerably better reputation with the Finnish Air Force than on the battlefields of southern Europe. The Finnish machines flew in local camouflage schemes and with Finnish national insignia.
Wash the resin parts to remove the mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off with a saw and sand with respiratory protection. Use super glue (cyanoacrylate) for gluing. The Finnish camouflage with its harder edges sprays well through raised masks or can be brushed on; winter machines can be given a washed-off white coat, which lends the model the atmosphere of the northern front.
The kit is supplied unassembled and unpainted, cast in resin. Glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
