An injection-molded plastic kit of the late German Focke-Wulf Fw 190 D-9 fighter in 1:72 scale, in a boxing from the Bilek brand. It comes from the proven injection mold of the type. The package contains plastic parts, the clear parts of the canopy and a decal sheet.
The Fw 190 D-9, nicknamed the Dora, was a late development version of the famous Focke-Wulf. A lengthened nose with an inverted V12 engine and a longer rear fuselage improved its performance at higher altitudes. The aircraft was among the best performing German fighters of the closing stages of the Second World War and was used in the defense of German airspace.
Glue the parts with a thin cement for plastic, and sand the fuselage seams and the wing leading edges. Apply a primer before painting. Late German schemes combine the camouflage shades of the upper surfaces with light undersides; an airbrush makes the transitions and the mottling easier. Lay down a gloss varnish under the decals.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
