Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-5 fighter in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker Eduard, built on a modern tooling with fine surface detail. Eduard offers this type in the ProfiPACK edition (with color photo-etch and masks) and in the Weekend edition; the particular contents of the box and the number of marking options differ by edition. The box contains plastic parts and decals; paints and glue are not included.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 was among the best German fighters of the Second World War. The A-5 version of 1943 grew out of the proven Anton series, had a slightly lengthened nose for better balance and was powered by an air-cooled BMW 801 radial engine. The machine stood out for its rugged structure, heavy armament and good handling at low and medium altitudes. The Fw 190A-5 was used on every front and became the basis for a number of further specialized variants.
Glue the parts with a thin plastic cement and clean up the fuselage joints carefully. The cockpit and the instrument panel deserve attention, because they are clearly visible once the glazing is on — with the photo-etch edition, use the color details. The typical German camouflage (RLM shades with a squiggle pattern on the fuselage sides) is best done with an airbrush over a primer; using masks makes the hard edges around the glazing easier. Bring out the panel lines with a wash and even the finish out with a matte coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
