A resin detail set of the propeller in the large (wide) configuration for a model of the German Focke-Wulf Fw 190 fighter in the A-8 version in 1:72 scale from Quickboost (Aires). The set replaces the plastic propeller with a precisely cast resin part with the correct shape of the wide blades and with the spinner, which refines the nose of the aircraft.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-8 was among the most widely built versions of the A series of this German fighter of the Second World War. It was powered by a BMW 801 radial engine. Propellers with wide blades were used to reach higher performance, and this set captures them in the large configuration.
First wash the mold release residue off the resin parts, carefully separate them from the casting blocks and sand the marks down. Bond them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); protect your airways when sanding resin. Apply a primer before painting and lay the paint down with an airbrush in thin coats. Mind the correct alignment of the wide blades and a smooth seating of the spinner on the nose.
This is not an airplane model but a resin accessory for more advanced modelers. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
