This is a photo-etched detail set, not a kit. The set focuses on the external details of models of the German Focke-Wulf Fw 200C Condor long-range aircraft in 1:72 scale. It adds fine metal parts to the surface of the fuselage and wings that injection-molded plastic cannot capture. It is made by the Czech company Eduard, a leading brand in etched parts.
The etched parts refine the exterior of the model, adding plates, grilles, covers, reinforcements and other small skin features. On a large four-engine aircraft these details raise the realism of the finished build considerably.
Cut the parts from the fret with a sharp knife and use a photo-etch bending tool for the bends. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate) or with glue for photo-etched parts. Degrease the metal and spray it with primer before painting, so that the paint holds.
This is an accessory, not an aircraft model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
