Eduard 1:72 GBU-32 Thermally Protected is a resin add-on set of GBU-32 JDAM guided aerial bombs in the thermally protected version. It is not an airplane model but armament for a model under construction in 1:72 scale.

It contains resin castings of GBU-32 guided bombs in the thermally protected version, complemented by photo-etched parts and decals. It is an accessory added to an aircraft model under construction in 1:72 scale — on its own it is not an airplane kit and the base model is not included in the package.
The GBU-32 belongs to the JDAM family, that is guidance kits fitted to an ordinary unguided aerial bomb to turn it into guided munition. The guidance module with its tail surfaces works with satellite and inertial guidance, so the bomb hits the given coordinates regardless of cloud cover. The GBU-32 is based on a bomb of roughly the 450 kg weight class. The thermally protected version has a protective surface treatment that shields the munition during storage and handling in deck conditions and in hot environments; this variant differs from the standard one in its surface and shade.
First wash the resin parts in lukewarm water with detergent — residues of mold release agent otherwise stop the paint from adhering. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a cutting disc, do not snap them; protect your airways when sanding resin and sand under water. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue, not with cement for plastic. Apply a thin coat of primer before painting, and only then the base shade. Decals settle better on a gloss base and it is a good idea to seal them with a matte varnish.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
