Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of the early Ausf. B version of the German Pz.Kpfw. IV medium tank in 1:72 scale from the Polish manufacturer Mirage Hobby. The package holds several gray plastic frames with a great many parts, soft plastic tracks, a small photo-etched sheet, a decal sheet and building instructions. It is one of the sets thanks to which the earliest versions of this type are available in a small scale as well.
The Ausf. B version was built only in a small batch of a few dozen vehicles made in 1938. Against the first version it received thicker armor and a more powerful Maybach HL 120TR engine, and the shape of the front plate of the superstructure and the arrangement of the vision ports changed as well. The armament was a short 75 mm gun of low muzzle velocity, complemented by a machine gun. The vehicle was conceived as a support type meant to supplement tanks with antiarmor armament. Given the small number built, it is a rare modeling subject.
The kit has a high number of parts, so sort the parts out beforehand according to the steps in the instructions. Assemble and paint the running gear before closing the hull up, and fit the wheels to the template. Glue the soft tracks with cyanoacrylate glue. Bend the small photo-etched parts over a metal ruler. Spray the base over a primer, pick the edges out with dry brushing, sink a dark wash into the rivets and the seams and dust the underside with pigments. Use gloss clear coat before the decals and unify the surface with matte varnish at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
