Photo-etched parts for a model of the British Gloster Meteor F.8 jet fighter in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Gloster Meteor was the first British jet fighter to enter regular service, and it did so while the Second World War was still on. It carried its engines in nacelles on the wing, which gave it an unmistakable silhouette. The F.8 version is the main postwar production form: it has a lengthened fuselage, revised tail surfaces and an ejection seat. At the turn of the 1940s and 1950s it formed the backbone of British fighter aviation and it flew with other countries as well.
The set brings photo-etched parts for a model of the Meteor F.8 in 1:72 scale. Photo-etch allows a thickness that an injection-molded part cannot reach, so it replaces exactly those places where plastic looks coarse. The list of parts and their placing on the model are in the manufacturer's instructions.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade on a hard surface, not with nippers, which will deform them, and sand the remaining tab away. Make the bends in a bending tool or over the edge of a blade, always along the whole length at once. Bond them with cyanoacrylate glue applied with a toothpick, because even a small extra drop will run into the pattern. Degrease the metal before painting and lay down a primer. Pick the small parts up with tweezers and work over a tray so that a lost part can be found.
The aircraft model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
