Gloster Meteor FR.9 SPACE 1:72 (Eduard)

This set from the Eduard SPACE range combines color 3D decals with pre-printed photo-etched steel seat belts. In 1:72 scale it brings faithful detail of the instrument panel, the side consoles and other elements of the pilot's space into the cockpit of a plastic kit without laborious painting. It is not an aircraft model but an add-on set for superdetailing.

What the set is for

The SPACE range joins raised color 3D printing, which gives the panels a three-dimensional look, with etched belts carrying printed colors and buckles. The result is a realistic cockpit quickly and without an airbrush. Do not use a decal softener: its chemistry attacks the printed resin of the 3D elements. The set is intended for models of the fighter and reconnaissance Meteor in this scale.

Use

• with a damp sponge and a drop of dish soap, moisten only the backing paper under the 3D element until the element comes free
• lift the element off with tweezers, lay it on the cleaned panel and fix it with white PVA glue; the manufacturer does not recommend cyanoacrylate for it
• shape the etched steel belts gently, set them into the seat and glue them with cyanoacrylate; they can be left fastened or undone
