CMK 1:72 Gloster Meteor FR.Mk 8/9 engine set is a resin accessory that shows the exposed turbojet engines of the Gloster Meteor in 1:72 scale. It is not an aircraft model but a detail set.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin detail set from the Czech maker CMK makes it possible to show the exposed turbojet engines on a model of the Gloster Meteor in the FR.Mk 8/9 version in 1:72 scale. It is not an aircraft kit but a set of parts to build on a base plastic model; it usually contains faithful engine units that can be displayed with the nacelle covers swung open.
The Gloster Meteor was the first British production jet fighter to enter combat service in the Second World War. It was powered by a pair of Rolls-Royce Derwent engines housed in wing nacelles. The FR.Mk 9 version served for photo reconnaissance, the Mk 8 as a day fighter.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and protect your airways while sanding. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue. Paint the engines in metallic shades and bring them out with a wash; an exposed nacelle is worth completing with wiring for the greatest effect.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
