An injection-molded plastic kit of the legendary American GMC CCKW 353 truck in 1:72 scale from Heller. It is a compact model with a canvas tilt over the cargo bed. The boxing offers a choice of rear-end version and decals. Thanks to the smaller scale it suits larger collections, convoys and dioramas.
The GMC CCKW 353 was an American all-wheel-drive truck of roughly 2.5 tons payload, nicknamed the deuce and a half. It was among the most important supply vehicles of the Allies in the Second World War and became a symbol of logistics, among other places in the Normandy landings. It was built in large numbers in many versions and served long after the war in the army and in civilian life. Reliable transport of supplies and troops was one of the keys to Allied success.
In 1:72 scale take care over clean seams and fine details. Use liquid cement for plastic and work in subassemblies; finish and paint the chassis and the cab before final assembly. Lay down a primer before painting and spray with an airbrush, choosing thin coats on a smaller model. Bring the military olive to life with a light wash into the recesses and with pigments for dust effects on the wheels and the chassis.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
