The designation M733 is carried by a shortened carbine from the family of American M16 rifles. Against the basic rifle it has a shorter barrel, a shorter handguard and a telescoping stock, so it is easier to handle in a vehicle and in a confined space. Weapons of this type were taken up by units that needed the firepower of a rifle in a substantially shorter form.
The model is a reduction at a ratio of 1:3, that is to roughly a third of the length of the real subject. It is listed in the collector range as a finished piece, it is not a kit and it needs no gluing or painting. It is not intended for firing or for any other functional use.
It looks best in a display case or on a shelf out of the reach of direct sun and damp. Remove the dust with a soft brush or a lint-free cloth, without solvents and aggressive cleaners, which can attack the surface finish. Do not put needless load on thin projections and small parts, as they are fragile at this scale.
It suits collectors of weapons and military vehicles, anyone interested in the history of armed forces and those who want the real subject in reduced form for a display case or a desk. A base, a display case and other accessories are not supplied, unless stated otherwise.
