An aftermarket detail set from the manufacturer MASTER, not a kit. It contains turned brass barrels for the 20 mm Hispano cannon in their wing fairings for the early configuration of the Hawker Tempest Mk.V fighter in 1:72 scale. The metal parts replace the plastic barrels of the original kit and raise the realism of the model.
In 1:72 scale it is hard to cut out a sharp plastic barrel of scale thickness; turned brass solves that exactly. The barrels have the correct muzzle thickness, do not deform and look metallic once painted. The set is intended for early Tempest Mk.V aircraft with projecting cannon.
Cut off the original plastic barrel, drill a hole in the remaining part and glue the brass barrel in with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The parts can be lightly deburred and degreased. Because of their small size, the work suits advanced modelers; brass takes a primer and an airbrush well.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
