This injection-molded plastic kit from UM in 1:72 scale represents the German S.Sp type heavy armored railway car in its anti-aircraft configuration. The set holds plastic parts for the armored body of the car, an open platform for the anti-aircraft gun and extra photo-etched parts.
S.Sp heavy armored railway cars were built from 1944 and could run on their own as well as marshalled into a train. The anti-aircraft variant carried a rapid-firing anti-aircraft gun on an open platform and protected the other cars of the train against low-flying aircraft. The S.Sp series saw use in the fighting in the Balkans at the end of the Second World War.
Give attention to assembling the open platform and the anti-aircraft weapon, which will be clearly visible on the model. Use liquid cement on the plastic; we recommend a primer, an airbrush and weathering with washes and pigments for rust and dust. The car comes into its own in a diorama with track.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
