A resin detail accessory from Quickboost, made by Aires, in 1:72 scale. The set replaces the entry doors of the pilot's station with more faithfully rendered resin parts with fine relief, which can be shown in the open position. It is not an aircraft model but a stand-alone accessory that raises the fidelity of the finished build.
The Polikarpov I-153 Chaika was a Soviet single-seat biplane fighter of the late 1930s with a gull-shaped upper wing and retractable landing gear. The pilot got into the open cockpit through hinged side doors.
Wash the parts to remove any mold release residue, separate the casting blocks carefully and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Open doors give a view of the detail of the cockpit. Wear respiratory protection while sanding.
