The Yakovlev Yak-23 is a plastic kit of the Soviet jet fighter in 1:72 scale from Smer.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit captures an early Soviet jet fighter in 1:72 scale. The boxing comes from classic molds and holds a decal sheet with several marking options. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Yak-23 was a single-seat jet fighter of the late 1940s, one of the first Soviet jets with a straight wing. It was developed from earlier types of the Yak series and was exported to the Warsaw Pact countries, where it served with the Czechoslovak Air Force among others. Under its NATO reporting name it was known as a light and agile machine.
With older molds, expect to clean the parts up carefully and to fill the joints where needed. Glue the parts with a thin modeling cement for plastic and check the fit of the cockpit and the landing gear. Apply a primer before painting; the bare metal surfaces come out well in aluminum and silver shades, and decals go onto a gloss base.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
