Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 capturing the upgraded version of the Japanese Phantom, that is the F-4EJ Kai. The boxing is tied to a machine of the 301st Squadron from a competitive meet of tactical units in 1995. The maker is the Japanese company FineMolds, whose molds are among the finest available in this scale for aircraft of the Phantom family.
The F-4EJ Kai came out of an upgrade of the Japanese license Phantoms. The program extended the life of the airframe and brought new avionics, thanks to which the machines handled duties that the original pattern could not manage. Outwardly the upgraded examples are recognized by details on the fuselage and the spine, under which the new equipment was hidden. Competitive meets of tactical units of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force were regular exercises for which machines were prepared more carefully than for ordinary service and often received more conspicuous markings.
The fuselage of the Phantom has pronounced joints, so count on filling and sanding, after which it pays to restore lost panel lines with a scribing needle. Finish the cockpit and the landing gear bays before closing the fuselage, and mask the glazing. After the primer, spray the base shades with an airbrush, lay a gloss clear coat under the decals and use a softener so that the decals settle into the engraving. Finish the model with a semi-matte clear coat and a fine wash into the panel lines. Fit the external stores only once the clear coat has dried.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
