1:72 JDS Isoyuki DD-127 1985 is an acrylic display base with the deck of a Japanese destroyer in its form from the mid-1980s.
Responsibility details are not available.
A board 280 x 180 millimeters in acrylic three millimeters thick, weight 170 grams. The print captures the stern of the destroyer with the hull number DD-127, and the year in the designation refers to the date to which the appearance of the deck relates.
The Isoyuki belonged to the numerous Hatsuyuki class, which in the 1980s formed the backbone of the Japanese escort fleet. These were among the first Japanese general-purpose destroyers to which the designers added a hangar and a permanently assigned helicopter for anti-submarine work. The ship entered service in 1985 and at that time it represented a modern unit with sonar, anti-submarine missiles and anti-aircraft armament.
The 1980s were a period of rapid renewal for the Japanese escort forces. The growing stress on deep-water patrolling called for vessels able to keep a helicopter in the air for long hours, and this very design took that task over. The after deck thus became a workplace where, in any weather, machines launched, took on fuel and took off again, which is a more rewarding subject for a scene than a machine quietly parked.
The machine for the deck and its crew are to be obtained separately.
