A set of resin exhausts for the German twin-engine Junkers Ju 88 combat aircraft in 1:72 scale. It is an aftermarket detail part with more faithfully made mouths on the exhaust clusters, which will replace the flat or blanked-off plastic exhausts from the base kit, not a standalone airplane model.
The Junkers Ju 88 was a German twin-engine multirole aircraft of the Second World War, used as a bomber, a dive bomber, a reconnaissance machine and a night fighter. Depending on the version it was powered by Junkers Jumo 211 inverted V12 engines or by other powerplants. The exhaust clusters along the engine nacelles differed in shape between the individual variants.
Resin parts call for more careful work than plastic: first wash them to remove mold release residue, separate them carefully from the casting block (the gate) and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways while sanding and cutting small parts. Apply a primer before painting. The exhausts come into their own once painted in dark metallic and rust shades with the edges lightly brought out; check how the clusters are turned against the fuselage dry before gluing.
The part is supplied as a resin accessory, unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
