A set of elements for the K-36L ejection seat in its late version in 1:72 scale, intended for kits of the Su-25 and Su-25SM ground-attack aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Su-25 is a Soviet and later Russian ground-attack aircraft intended to support ground troops, built with resistance to fire from the ground in mind. Its pilot sits in a K-36L ejection seat, a lightened version of the proven K-36 series of seats. Even in a small scale the seat tends to be visible under an open canopy and is among the features the eye notices first. The late version matches, according to the manufacturer, the machines used from 2008 on.
Elements for rendering the K-36L seat in its late version in 1:72 scale. According to its name the set is not tied to the kit of a single manufacturer and is meant for use on the commonly available Su-25 and Su-25SM kits. It brings the color division of the straps and the lettering, which are hard to paint with a brush in this scale.
First paint the seat and let the paint dry completely; the base should be smooth, clean and free of grease. The color elements are applied like ordinary wet decals: the sheet is dipped briefly in lukewarm water and the element is slid off the carrier paper onto a glossy base. Any three-dimensional parts are not polystyrene and are bonded with super glue; cut the excess material off a little way from the part with a sharp blade and sand the rest back.
For the modeler building the Su-25 in 1:72 scale with an open cockpit. The elements are very small, so fine-tipped tweezers and good light are worth having. The set does not contain the kit, paints or glue, unless stated otherwise.
