Peewit Ki-61 I Hien 1:72 are precise self-adhesive painting masks for clean masking of the canopy glazing and the wheels of this Japanese Kawasaki fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of self-adhesive painting masks made of thin washi (kabuki) tape from the Czech manufacturer Peewit. It serves for fast and clean masking of the canopy glazing and the wheels when spraying with an airbrush or with a brush. The masks follow the shape of the part well, they hold along the engraved edges and they leave no adhesive residue when removed. The set is intended for the Ki-61-I variants (Hei, Otsu, Tei, Kai) in 1:72 scale.
The Kawasaki Ki-61 Hien (Allied code name Tony) was a Japanese Army fighter aircraft of the Second World War. As one of the few Japanese production fighters it used a liquid-cooled inverted V12 engine, which gave it a slim profile reminiscent of European machines. The designations Hei, Otsu, Tei and Kai distinguish the individual production variants, which differed in armament and in details.
For modelers who want sharp paint transitions on the canopy and the wheels without the lengthy cutting of tape. The set saves time and improves the cleanliness of the finished paintwork.
These are painting masks, not a model. The paints, the glue and the kit are not included in the package.
