1:72 Lockheed-Martin F-35A/B Lightning II USAF/USMC Collection

Xtradecal F-35A/B Lightning II USAF/USMC Collection 1:72

A waterslide decal sheet from Xtradecal in 1:72 scale devoted to the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II stealth fighter in the A and B versions in the colors of the US Air Force (USAF) and the Marine Corps (USMC). It is not a kit but a set of markings for building after a particular unit and aircraft.

The real subject

The F-35 Lightning II is a modern fifth-generation multirole fighter with low-observable technology. The F-35A version is the conventional land-based variant for the air force, while the F-35B allows short takeoff and vertical landing and serves with the Marine Corps. Both types form the backbone of present-day American tactical aviation.

Use

• Applying the markings to finished and painted F-35A or F-35B models.
• The decals go on from water onto a gloss base coat and are sealed with a flat varnish once dry.
• With low-visibility markings, take care to settle them finely into the engraving with softeners.

Who it is for

For modelers interested in present-day American aviation who build the F-35A or F-35B in 1:72 scale and want different or more varied markings from those in the base kit.

This is an accessory (waterslide decals), not a model. It calls for a finished base model, paints and varnishes, which are not included in the package.
