This is a resin detail accessory from Aires, not an airplane model. The set replaces the seats from a plastic kit with more faithfully cast Martin-Baker GRUEA-7 ejection seats of the kind used by the crew of the EA-6B Prowler electronic warfare aircraft. The castings carry fine relief of the harness, the lever controls and the cushions, which once painted will markedly enliven the space of the cockpit.
The EA-6B Prowler was a carrier-based electronic warfare aircraft derived from the A-6 Intruder attack aircraft. It carried a multi-member crew and served to jam hostile radars and communications. Every crew member sat on a Martin-Baker ejection seat, which allowed an emergency escape from the aircraft.
Separate the parts from the casting blocks carefully, wash them to remove any mold release agent and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Airbrush painting is advisable, with the harness and the buckles brought out further with a brush and a fine wash to emphasize the detail.
The set is a detail accessory, not a complete model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
