1:72 American M1A1 antitank mine is a small accessory for dioramas in 1:72 scale. It suits being spread around the terrain and put into vehicle loads; it is not a model in its own right.
Responsibility details are not available.
In the small 1:72 scale a diorama is built differently from a large one. Nobody studies an individual detail with a magnifier here, but the scene as a whole counts, and that is exactly why small equipment can be used in greater numbers. You can spread the scaled-down M1A1 antitank mines around the terrain as a suggested minefield, tip them into a crate on the bed of a truck or leave them stacked in a pile at an engineer post. It is not a kit but an accessory for models you already have.
The M1A1 was an American heavy antitank mine introduced during the Second World War. It consisted of a low circular metal body with a flat lid, a pressure fuze in the middle and carrying handles. In 1:72 scale what is left of the whole shape is mainly the silhouette of a flat disc, which is amply enough for the purpose, because it is the arrangement and the number of pieces that make a legible story on a diorama. The mines were carried in crates and were laid by hand.
Clean the parts and bond them with super glue, because ordinary plastic cement does not hold on other materials. In this scale it pays to paint in batches: stick the parts onto a piece of card with double-sided tape, spray them with primer and an olive base and only then set them individually in place. A detailed dry brush makes no sense here; uniform dust and mud matched to the terrain of the scene do far more, so that the mines do not look like foreign objects laid on the surface.
