The Marmon-Herrington was an armored car produced in the Union of South Africa as an emergency solution in case supplies of equipment from Britain were cut off. The vehicle was built on a Ford truck chassis complemented by a driven Marmon-Herrington front axle. It served in large numbers with British and allied units in North and East Africa in 1940 and 1941.
Expect careful cleaning up of the parts and some filling. Finish the chassis and the hull first, then close the superstructure. The desert service of the real vehicle calls for sand shades and for weathering with washes and pigments for dust effects.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
