1:72 McDonnell Douglas F-15 J Eagle is a kit of the Japanese fighter in the special marking of the 304th Squadron of 2024, made by Hasegawa.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded kit of the heavy F-15J fighter in 1:72 scale. The release is aimed at a machine of the 304th Squadron with a commemorative color scheme of 2024, which came about at the base on Okinawa. The model thus joins the classic Eagle silhouette with a striking color motif.
The F-15J is the Japanese version of the twin-engine fighter built to win air superiority. It carries two jet engines with afterburners, large lifting surfaces and a radar for combat at long range; typical too is the high thrust-to-weight ratio, thanks to which the aircraft climbs quickly. Japanese machines have served for decades and go through modernizations of their electronics. The units based on the southern islands are responsible for patrolling the vast airspace over the sea, which is reflected in their commemorative schemes as well.
The two engine nozzles are very visible on this type, so set aside time and paints with a metallic tinge for them; a darker shade in the gaps will add depth. The large gray surfaces are brought to life by a fine accentuation of the panel lines, but keep to a discreet tone, so that the model does not look dirty. Apply the color motif on the vertical tails onto a gloss base and when dividing a decal work from the center toward the edges. Blank off the air intakes before varnishing.
This is an unassembled model without a finish; the package does not include paints, glue and other supplies.
