Reskit — exhaust nozzles for the F/A-18E Super Hornet in 1:72 scale is a resin detail set for Academy kits that gives the rear end of the model the true structure of the F414 engines even in a small scale.

A set of resin exhaust nozzles for the single-seat F/A-18E Super Hornet in 1:72 scale, intended for kits from Academy. It is not an airplane model in its own right — it is a replacement for the kit nozzles with fine castings. It is precisely in a small scale that the difference shows most: injection-molded plastic can only manage a rough suggestion of the segments in such a tiny part, while a casting carries structure that stands up even to a close look.
The F/A-18E is the single-seat version of the Super Hornet, the US Navy carrier-borne multirole aircraft. The pair of General Electric F414 engines with afterburners gives the machine its characteristic rear end with two massive nozzles, whose internal segmentation is among the most conspicuous details of the aircraft.
In 1:72 scale the parts are small — work with tweezers and apply the super glue on the tip of a pin so that the joints stay clean. Paint the nozzles before fitting: metallic shades over a smooth base, a dark wash into the segmentation, a gentle lightening of the edges with a dry brush. Sand the cut casting blocks with respiratory protection.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the base aircraft kit is not included in the package.
