This resin detail set from the Czech manufacturer Aires replaces the cockpit of a Vought F4U-4 Corsair model with a faithfully cast interior in 1:48 scale. It contains a refined cockpit tub, an instrument panel and side consoles. It is an accessory for a kit, not an airplane model in its own right.
The Vought F4U Corsair was an American carrier fighter characterized by its inverted gull wing. The late F4U-4 version received a more powerful radial engine and a four-blade propeller and was used in the closing stages of the Second World War and in Korea. An accurate cockpit interior lifts the final impression considerably on models with the canopy open.
Before gluing, wash the parts to remove any mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Paint the interior before the fuselage is closed. Sand resin with your airways protected.
This is a resin accessory for experienced modelers, not a model in its own right. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
