Messerschmitt Bf 110C/D/E - vacuum-formed canopy 1:72

A clear replacement canopy for a model of the Messerschmitt Bf 110 in the C, D and E versions. It is a vacuum-formed part in thin clear plastic in the closed-canopy variant. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory that replaces the standard injection-molded part with a thinner, cleaner molding of better clarity. The package contains the clear part alone. The molding is formed to the shape of the Eduard kit.

Use

• Cut the part carefully off its backing with a sharp knife and sand the edges gently to the exact shape.
• Dry-fit it and refine it by sanding if need be.
• Glue it with an adhesive suited to clear parts, for instance PVA glue (white glue) for canopies, which does not fog the plastic.
• Mask the frames and spray them; the thin molding allows a truer look to the glazing.
