The plastic kit Eduard 1:72 MiG-15 Weekend: the Soviet jet fighter of the early Cold War in a simplified edition.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet MiG-15 jet fighter in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker Eduard. The Weekend Edition is a simplified version: it contains Eduard plastic parts, a decal set and color instructions, but without the extensive photo-etch set typical of the premium editions. It is a plastic aircraft kit, not a set of masking templates.
The MiG-15 was a Soviet single-seat jet fighter that became one of the most important combat aircraft of the early Cold War. It entered service at the end of the 1940s and became famous above all in the Korean War, where it met American fighters in combat. It was powered by a jet engine derived from the British Rolls-Royce Nene, thanks to which it was fast, climbed well and was heavily armed with cannons. The MiG-15 served in many countries, including Czechoslovakia.
Glue the small parts in 1:72 scale with a liquid modeling cement for plastic and work with tweezers. Apply a primer before painting; the natural metal surfaces of the MiG-15 come out best with metallic paints sprayed with an airbrush, or with polishable metallic finishes. Pick out the panel lines with a fine wash and protect the finished gloss surface with a varnish before applying the decals.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
