A set of turned metal parts for a model of the Soviet fighter MiG-19S (Farmer C) in 1:72 scale. The box holds the barrels of the onboard cannon and the nose Pitot tube. The Polish manufacturer MASTER turns the parts from metal with faithful geometry and a drilled-out muzzle, which small plastic parts in this scale can hardly manage.
The MiG-19 was a Soviet supersonic fighter aircraft, one of the first production machines able to exceed the speed of sound in level flight. The S version (Farmer C) carried onboard cannon armament and was widespread in a number of armed forces. The protruding muzzles of the barrels and the nose probe are among its characteristic details.
Cut the plastic parts off the kit and clean them up, drill the holes and glue the metal barrels and the tube in with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Take care over the alignment of the barrels. The metal surface holds paint after a primer; carry the small parts in this small scale with tweezers.
This is not an aircraft model but a metal accessory. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
