This 3D-printed resin set from 77propeller brings a model of the MiG-21F-13 fighter in 1:72 scale more accurate landing gear wheels with crisply drawn tread and hubs. It is not an aircraft kit but a detail accessory that replaces the base plastic wheels.
The MiG-21 stood on a nose wheel and two main wheels; their shape, tread and hubs are clearly visible on a model, and a more accurate rendering raises the overall impression. Resin wheels are moreover often made with a realistic flattening where they meet the ground.
Separate the wheels from the print supports, wash them free of uncured resin residue and glue them with super glue. Spray the tires matte dark gray, the hubs in a metallic shade, and add a light dust wash. Check the fit on the landing gear legs before gluing.
The set contains only the resin wheels; the aircraft model itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
