A set of photo-etched parts for a model of the MiG-21F-13 fighter in 1:72 scale. An accessory for a finished kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The MiG-21F-13 belongs among the first production versions of the Soviet supersonic MiG-21 fighter. It is a single-seat, single-engine machine with a delta wing and a circular air intake in the nose into which a movable cone is set. The early versions have a slimmer spine than the later variants, so they differ from them in silhouette at first glance. The MiG-21 reached dozens of countries in various forms and is among the most frequently built subjects of all.
Photo-etched parts for a model of the MiG-21F-13 in 1:72 scale. A photo-etched part is created by etching a shape out of thin sheet, so the material on the model really does look thin where a plastic part necessarily comes out thicker. Which elements the set contains, where they belong and what has to be modified on the kit before they are fitted is shown in the manufacturer's instructions.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade on a hard surface; nippers bend the edge. Make the bends along the marked grooves, ideally in a bending tool or between two straight edges; sheet is bent once, and repeated straightening fatigues it and the part cracks. They are bonded with super glue in a small amount. Degrease the parts before painting and spray a primer.
The aircraft kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
