Militärfahrzeuge of the Wehrmacht is a reference publication on the military vehicles of the Wehrmacht, issued by the publisher Ryton Publications. It is not a kit and not an accessory but a book for a modeling library.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a printed reference publication, not a model. Ryton Publications has long devoted itself to reference literature on German military equipment, and its titles are among the sources modelers reach for because of technical data and photographs, not because of a literary narrative. The book deals with the military vehicles of the Wehrmacht, that is with an area where the shape of the body, the execution of details and the markings of the period decide the build of a model. The publication is intended for study and as a visual reference during building and painting.
The instructions in a kit deal with how to glue the parts together, but say nothing about what was on the real vehicle and what was not. That is exactly where work with literature begins. With military vehicles it is most often three things: the shape and the equipment of the body, which differed on the same chassis according to the purpose, the markings of the period and their placement, and the gear hung on the outside, that is tools, spare wheels, tarpaulins and crates. A photographic reference also shows what the equipment really looked like after several weeks of service, and that is information nothing else can replace when painting and weathering. The book therefore does not serve for a single reading but for leafing through repeatedly during a build.
For modelers of military vehicles who want to build from sources and not from guesswork, and for anyone interested in the history of automotive and military technology. It is useful too for builders of dioramas who need to verify which vehicles can appear together in a scene.
This is a printed publication. It contains no parts, no decals and no paints. The text is worked up as a technical reference.
