A resin air intake for the MiG-21F-13 Fishbed C in 1:72 scale from the brand Quickboost: an accurate detail accessory, not an aircraft model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin forward air intake from the brand Quickboost for the Soviet MiG-21F-13 Fishbed C fighter in 1:72 scale. It is not an aircraft model but an accurate replacement part for more experienced modelers that replaces the plastic intake from a kit with a casting with a faithful shape of the lip and the shock cone. The nose dominates the view and a clean intake markedly improves the overall impression.
The MiG-21F-13 was an early version of this widespread Soviet supersonic day fighter with its characteristic nose air intake, in the middle of which sits a movable shock cone. That lip is exactly what tends to be molded in plastic with thick walls and a visible seam. A resin replacement offers a thinner edge and a cleaner shape. The part is intended to refine an existing model of an early version of the MiG-21 in the same scale.
Wash the resin part in lukewarm soapy water to remove the mold release residue. Cut the casting block off with a sharp knife or a fine saw and clean the surface up; protect your airways when sanding resin. Glue it with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Paint the inside of the intake before it is closed up and take care over a smooth transition to the fuselage.
It is supplied as an unpainted resin accessory for completing a model. Glue, paints and the model itself are not included in the package.
