A set of metal and photo-etched sheet intended for the air intakes of a model of the MiG-25. The intake mouths are among the places where the thickness of plastic shows most: the real leading edge is as sharp as a knife, whereas a molding has the edge rounded. Thin sheet evens this difference out. This is not a kit; the model of the aircraft has to be your own.
The MiG-25 is a Soviet twin-engine aircraft designed for very high speeds and altitudes, used in the interceptor and the reconnaissance role alike. A characteristic feature of the airframe is the large angular side air intakes with a movable ramp, which had to feed the engines at high speeds. It is precisely these intakes that give the type its unmistakable silhouette.
Finish and paint the intakes before the fuselage is closed; you will not reach them later. The inside of the duct tends to be light, so it pays to spray it while it is still flat and then fill and sand the joint carefully; in an intake, every stepped edge shows. Degrease the metal parts and spray a primer over them, and it is better to leave excess superglue right out, because it turns white and is hard to remove inside a duct.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
