A precise turned metal accessory for a model of the Soviet MiG-25 Foxbat interceptor in 1:72 scale. The set replaces the plastic pitot tube on the nose with a fine metal part and is intended for all versions except the PD and PDS, which have a different tube. It is not an aircraft model but a detail replacement part.
A turned metal tube is perfectly straight, thin and has a sharp end that a plastic molding cannot match. It is also markedly more resistant to bending and breaking, which is a frequent weak point of the long nose tube of the MiG-25. The nose of the aircraft thus gains a faithful and fine detail.
Cut off the plastic tube, drill a hole in the remaining part and glue the metal tube in with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The fitting is easy and quick.
This is an add-on detail set, not a complete kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
