Replacement engine exhaust nozzles for a model of the MiG-29 Fulcrum fighter in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The MiG-29, NATO reporting name Fulcrum, is a Soviet twin-engine fourth-generation fighter. A number of countries have had it in service or still do, and it is among the most frequently built modern machines of all. Its two engine exhaust nozzles are easy to see and draw the eye on a finished model, because they sit at the narrowest point of the tail between the fins.
The set replaces the exhaust nozzles of a 1:72 MiG-29 model with separate parts. Replacement nozzles tend to have a thinner wall and more three-dimensional inner shaping than the kit parts, where the thickness of the material is set by what the mold allows. How many parts the package holds, what position they are rendered in and which kit they fit is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little short of the part and sand off the rest. Dry-fit the seating; with nozzles it pays to check that both point the same way and sit to the same depth, because any asymmetry shows at once on the tail. The inside of the nozzles is easier to paint before they are glued in, while it is still reachable. Wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent before painting and let them dry.
The set suits builders who want to give the tail of a model the depth the kit parts do not offer. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
