This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the maker Hasegawa captures the Japanese Mitsubishi F-1 support (attack) aircraft. It is an older, well established tooling; the model will appeal to collectors of Japanese military aviation and to lovers of less usual jet types.
The Mitsubishi F-1 was a single-seat Japanese attack aircraft intended for the support of ground forces and for strikes against surface targets. It came about on the basis of the two-seat T-2 trainer and became the first postwar combat aircraft of Japanese design. It served with the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF).
With an older tooling it pays to clean the parts up and to try the fit dry. Glue with a thin cement for plastic and paint the cockpit before you close the fuselage up. Apply a primer before painting and lay the camouflage down with an airbrush; a gloss clear coat under the decals and a final matte overcoat help.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
