1:72 MK-82 with thermal protection and the MK-15 Snakeye fin (6 pcs) is a resin, 3D-printed set of aerial bombs for arming models of jet aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of six 3D-printed resin bombs in 1:72 scale. It is an aftermarket accessory, not a model on its own. The variant shows the bomb with a thermally protective coating and with the MK-15 Snakeye retarding tail assembly, which opens out after release and slows the fall.
The MK-82 is an American low-drag bomb of the Mark 80 series weighing approximately 227 kg (500 pounds). The Snakeye retarding tail unit makes safe release from low altitudes possible, because it slows the bomb and the carrier has time to leave the area of the explosion. A thermally protective coating is typical of service on the decks of aircraft carriers.
Wash the parts free of residues of uncured print resin, cut them off the print supports and clean them up. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The opened-out retarding surfaces are fragile, so handle them carefully. A primer, an airbrush and light weathering are recommended.
The set contains only resin parts of the bombs. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
