Responsibility details are not available.
A short-run injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer RS models. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Nakajima Ki-201 was a Japanese project for a single-seat jet fighter and fighter-bomber from the last year of the Second World War. In concept it drew on German jet development, to which Japan had access, and it was substantially larger and heavier than the Nakajima Kikka developed in parallel. Work stopped with the end of the war: no airworthy prototype was completed and the type never flew. The model therefore captures a project, not a production or operationally used machine.
Short-run molds usually have softer detail and coarser sprue gates than large-series production, so count on dry-fitting the parts, lightly sanding the mating surfaces and filling. Glue with liquid cement for plastic, and with small parts cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) in tiny amounts works well. A surfacer is practically obligatory here, because it unifies the surface after sanding and shows where more work is still needed. Painting with an airbrush, decals over a gloss base, and matte varnish at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
