This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from Roden represents the German Opel Blitz truck, one of the most widespread German military transport vehicles of the Second World War. The model is built from plastic parts, and decals and illustrated instructions are usually included. Check the exact sub-version, the contents of the box and the part count against the particular edition.
The Opel Blitz was a three-ton truck built by Opel from the 1930s. In the German army it served in enormous numbers as a general-purpose carrier of cargo and men and became a symbol of supply work on every front. A whole range of purpose-built bodies was created on its chassis, from flatbeds through tankers to workshop and ambulance versions.
It is best to finish the cab and the cargo bed, and to fine-tune the interior if you wish, before closing the body. Glue the plastic with thin modeling cement, apply primer and spray the colors with an airbrush. Create the effect of wear and dust with washes and pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
