A set of pre-cut self-adhesive masks from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for models of the OV-10A Bronco in 1:72 scale. It is not a kit but an accessory for a model: ready-made stencils that protect the glazing and the other areas meant to stay clean while you spray. On the Bronco that is particularly useful, because its tandem cockpit has extensive glazing with a large number of frames, which in a small scale is very hard to mask with tape.
The OV-10 Bronco is a twin-engine turboprop aircraft with twin tail booms and a short central nacelle. It was designed for observation, reconnaissance and the control of air support from low altitude, with the ability to operate from short and unprepared strips. The OV-10A version was the basic production variant and served with several branches of the American armed forces, and later with further users as well. It is known for the excellent view from the cockpit and for its unmistakable silhouette.
Wash and degrease the glazing first. Lift the individual parts off the sheet with tweezers, set them according to the frame and press the edges down with a wooden stick. In 1:72 the masks are tiny, so work on a light surface and one at a time. Spray thin coats and take the mask off while the paint has only just become tacky. It is recommended to spray the frames in the interior color first and only then in the exterior shade, so that the transition looks natural even when seen through the canopy.
