Resin underwing pylons for the OV-10A Bronco in 1:72 scale are a supplementary set for a plastic kit. They replace the pylons from the kit with a finer casting of cleaner shape.

A set of resin underwing pylons for a model of the OV-10A Bronco in 1:72 scale. It is not a kit of the aircraft but a detailing accessory. In a smaller scale the pylons made of injection-molded plastic are usually thicker than reality would call for, and it is precisely that which a resin replacement solves.
The North American Rockwell OV-10 Bronco came about as an aircraft for forward air control, observation and light strike tasks. The pair of turboprop engines, the tail booms and the glazed tandem cockpit give it an easily recognizable silhouette and allow operation from short and unpaved surfaces. The OV-10A version was the basic American variant, used by the US Air Force, the Marine Corps and the Navy. The external stores under the wing are among the features that are examined from close up on a model.
First wash the castings in lukewarm soapy water, so that the mold release agent disappears from the surface, otherwise paint will not hold on the parts. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw or a cutting disc, and do not break them. Sand the remains down wet and with respiratory protection, because resin dust is very fine. Hold small parts in this scale with tweezers and bond with super glue, that is, with cyanoacrylate. Before painting, apply a thin layer of primer, which will even the surface of the resin out with the plastic and reveal scratches left by sanding.
This is an accessory, not a kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
