This is an Aires resin detail set, not an airplane model. The set replaces the cockpit interior of the Bell P-39 Airacobra fighter with more accurate castings: the cockpit tub, the instrument panel, the seat and the controls. It suits models with the cockpit doors open in 1:72 scale above all.
The Bell P-39 Airacobra was an American single-engine fighter of the Second World War with an unusual layout: the engine sat behind the pilot in the middle of the fuselage, and entry to the cockpit was through side doors as in a car. Those doors make the interior especially easy to see, so a detailed cockpit tells.
Wash the parts to remove the mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and sand with your airways protected. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The interior comes alive once base shades, a dry brush and a fine wash on the instruments and the harnesses have gone on.
The detail set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base kit, glue, paints and further accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
